Welcome to Wood Badge!

April 27-29 & May 18-20, 2012

Wood Badge Course S9-27 is here!  Your staff has been working for over a year to bring Wood Badge to life for each of you.

Wood Badge is a national program first began almost 100 years ago at Gilwell Park, England-- a tradition that continues even today around the world.  Wood Badge graduates are recognized anywhere in the world through their "beads", neckerchief and leather turks head "woggle."

Wood Badge has a rich history of teaching leadership, team building, the traditions and history of Scouting and the very practical aspects of working with youth and with other adults to bring a world-class youth program to those we serve.

Wood Badge is practical training-- six days of hands-on team building, six days of hard work-- and of course, six days of fun, too.

On behalf of Ty Bishop, Course Director, and the entire staff, we looking forward to seeing you all Friday morning, April 27, 2012 at Scoutland.
